What Is Ship or Burn! Coop express?

You and up to three friends are couriers on a locomotive that runs only while something is burning in the firebox. That can be coal, parcels, zombies or, as the Steam page puts it, someone's wedding cake. At each station you pick up parcels, load the cars and plan your route, while zombies try to take your cargo.

Deliver or Burn: The Core Loop

  • Deliver: delivered cargo pays, and some parcels are expensive, fragile, too heavy for one player or "suspiciously wriggling".

  • Burn: the train needs fuel, so you can throw parcels, and even zombies, into the furnace to reach the next station.

  • Upgrade: buy upgrades and add cars to carry more cargo.

Co-op Chaos: Kick, Throw and Defend the Train

Players can shoot, kick and throw anything they grab to keep zombies away. Teammates are throwable too: you can pick up a friend and throw them aboard, or, as the developers suggest, play basketball with them. Someone also has to keep the furnace burning, watch the speed and repair the train.

Loot Runs and a Journey Through Biomes

Between stations you can stop for loot runs to gather supplies and clear the tracks, then carry the finds back to the train. The route crosses several biomes on the way to a city that is waiting for its parcels.
