How Wolves Esports Won PMGO 2026 Season 2
The PUBG Mobile Global Open 2026 Season 2 Grand Finals were played at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore, starting on 24 October. On 25 October the title was decided in Match 12.
According to Sportskeeda, Wolves won that final match in a 3v3 showdown against S2G Esports, which ended the event and handed them the trophy.
The title does not always go to the team with the most points. Under the Smash Rule it goes to the first team that crosses the match-point threshold and then wins a game.
What is the Smash Rule?
The Smash Rule is the finishing condition used in this Grand Finals. Once a team reaches the match-point threshold, it becomes eligible to win the championship by taking a match win. The first team to do both is declared champion, regardless of who leads on overall points.
That is why the final table looks unusual: AK Gold Esports ended with 94 points, but Wolves Esports, on 86 points, were the first to satisfy the rule and are listed as champions.

What It Means
Wolves' win is a notable result for a North American roster at a global PUBG Mobile event, coming in Lahore against a mostly Asian and Middle Eastern field. It also shows how a match-point format rewards timing as much as consistency: the team with the highest total did not take the trophy.
